The onsen was spectacular, so nice after walking around all day. The breakfast had great variety and the bathroom was nice and the room was spacious. The staff was very helpful with the luggage forwarding.
Slightly strange that you have to give the keys to your show locker to the front desk. Can be tedious to get when in a rush.
Have been this nice hotel with Japanese friend before, this time I booked for my self and family, staff upgraded us freely, another joyful experience! We didn’t have meals packages due to friend’s food allergies but from my previous experience they were excellent too, whenever I come this way definitely will choose again! They letted us checked in before three pm and checked out 11am extra hours m...
It’s was kept very clean
The bed was too hard and the buffet breakfast was lacking flavour
General aesthetic of the hotel was nice, distinctly japanese and far more characterful than a business hotel, more like a japanese resort hotel. Very nice breakfast and onsen in particular.
Service was polite but impersonal and focussed on their processes rather than you as the guest.
Amazing hotel, friendly stuff. Proximity to public service. Beautiful restourants near by with national kitchen. The hotel keeps national traditions. You are asked to take off shoes and can wear kimono.

Breakfast was amazing, room was great and we loved the tatami.
Every time you leave the hotel, you have to exchange your room key for the shoe locker key. Was not very busy when we stayed there but this could be a nightmare when it’s busy.
Big luxurious rooms that was very very comfortable. We stayed here for a night and didn’t leave the hotel we made the most of the meals, free icy piles and drinks at the bar and most of the all the onsen. Incredible stay to unwind after weeks or endless walking exploring. There is a 7 eleven just opposite the hotel if need as well. The private onsen was incredible, good time to go in the morning f...
There were options for different pillows types on each floor but all the other guests took them all and we couldn’t get a single extra pillow. They didn’t have any at the front desk.Read more
A wonderful choice to visit Kyoto. Loved the onsen, a rich western and japanese breakfast. We really liked the Kaiseki dinner included in the half-board.
Location was okay, not really close to any of the main sightseeing spots but bus/train connections work well.
perfect stay in Kyoto.
Everything is perfect!
This is a true Japanese hotel with beautiful private and public baths in the hotel. Majority of people who stay here are Japanese so be warned if you expect a hotel that caters to everyone. It was fine for our family. The rooms are traditional with no shoes in the hotel which is lovely. Plenty of free little perks like noodles, coffee, icecreams etc. The staff were friendly. The hotel very clean ...
The location is terrible if you are only staying a few days. The train system is not well connected which meant it took us 1.5 hours to go 4 stops. The taxis are expensive. Also the bathing tax and night tax is not included in the Booking.com rate. So be warned ⚠️Read more
