The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a good selection of food that included options from a variety of different cultures. The public and private onsens were beautiful, clean and relaxing. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend!
The privat and open onsens were very nice.
Food was rather ok then excellent. There was no good coffee at breakfast like espresso or cappuccino:(
The ambience of the hotel is very nice and the staff is very friendly. The onsen is also stunning and there are many freebies provided by the hotel such as lolillops and ramen.
There are not many eateries in the neighborhood and the hotel is one train stop from from the bustling Kyoto station around which one can find many enjoyable restaurants.
Breakfast is to experience.
Husband and I opted to splurge on a night in a nice ryokan in Kyoto and this place exceeded any expectations we had. They have the best breakfast and it is very clean.
The shoes off and on is a bit inconvenient because people may want to change their shoes for the next day.
The onsen was spectacular, so nice after walking around all day. The breakfast had great variety and the bathroom was nice and the room was spacious. The staff was very helpful with the luggage forwarding.
Slightly strange that you have to give the keys to your show locker to the front desk. Can be tedious to get when in a rush.
Have been this nice hotel with Japanese friend before, this time I booked for my self and family, staff upgraded us freely, another joyful experience! It’s was kept very clean
The bed was too hard and the buffet breakfast was lacking flavour
General aesthetic of the hotel was nice, distinctly japanese and far more characterful than a business hotel, more like a japanese resort hotel. Very nice breakfast and onsen in particular.
Service was polite but impersonal and focussed on their processes rather than you as the guest.
