The Seryo’s garden is well established & really beautiful. And the little outdoor onsen is lovely at night. It’s on the doorstep of Sanzen-in temple which means that the peace can be interrupted by tour buses, though most of these depart by noon. If you can, arrive at Seryo at 3, which gives you time to enjoy the property before dinner at 6. We had the Kaiseki option & it was fantastic. The staff ...
The room was a little basic. Upgrade to a private onsen room if you can afford it!Read more
Everything was lovely. Serene setting surrounded by gardens and koi ponds. Rooms were very nice and very comfortable. Onsen was amazing and the food was out of this world. The staff were so kind and friendly. We wished we could stay longer. Incredible experience.
Beautiful, serene. The garden views from our room were wonderful. Dinner and breakfast was a culinary and visual feast!
The Japanese style ryokan was a nice experience and the food was great (especially the dinner)
The onsen are hot and comfy but really small and can only be used early in the morning or in the afternoon (9am to 3pm are for some reasons unavailable). The Rooms were comfortable with good views, the Wi-Fi was good, the dinner was good.
The pricepoint for this hotel did not meet the actual on-site experience. For $600 a night, I would expect top-notch facilities, food, onsen etc. The onsen was nice, and the food was nice, but it was not amazing (like you would imagine for $600/night). The dinner was also just "good". Also, for anyone looking to purchase this accommodation, please do your research as it is incredibly far away from...Read more
Traditional Ryokan tatami room with gorgeous garden view, outdoor onsen, amazing dinner and breakfast, friendly staff, good location close to temples
Pillows were pretty hard!
Really magical place, we got a room with amazing view. Staff was very very helpful, they definitely made our stay better🤍
Stunning location - rustic feeling.
Staff is really caring for you and all whatever you might need to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Despite onsen being public, its limited to 4 people for a given sex. During our stay, it was actually barely used and it was easy to get the whole place for yourself. You also know if there's people in before entering as you need to leave slippers by the entrance so you can check if the onsen...Read more
