Location was great - within walking distance of everything. The staff was exceptional and so friendly. Very accommodating. Loved the noon checkout! Big thumbs up to that. :)
We booked the king superior room - the entire room was bed with very little room to move around. However the bed was super comfortable and the amenities were nice.
Location was great. Very central. Close to both Gion area and more modern Kyoto just over the bridge. Transport links were great too. Breakfast was excellent with homemade Japanese dishes as well as continental/western dishes alongside on the buffet.
Most staff were friendly and helpful. There was one person who was at check-in and behind the bar who was quite condescending, so we avoided him after the first day. It didn't spoil our stay though as other staff went above and beyond.
Staff was exceptional Location a 10/10 A bit expensive but worth it
Coffee had a sign Limit one per guest Ridiculous
Delicious breakfast! Waking up to eat was a highlight. Perfect location by Gion sights and public transport. Rooms although reviewed small are completely manageable. The onsen in the basement was quiet, clean and excellent!! Would stay again. Best location away from crowds in Kyoto (and I went during Golden Week.)
Everything was amazing but a slight musty smell on my floor, but didn't impact the room.
I stayed in this hotel many times, so knew what to expect.
Breakfast a bit expensive, and a bit basic.
Location
No area to store clothes or bags in room
Wonderful location. Serene accommodations perfectly located for Kyoto stay. Onsen was divine, and breakfast outstanding, with lots of Japanese delicacies. Not a thing to fault.
Nothing at all
Perfect location, 2 mins from the train station and super close to popular tourist attractions such as ninenzaka.
No room service for late night snacks etc
Location
Rooms were too small
Design is good and location is great.
Room ammenities aren’t great and for the price you pay didn’t really feel value for money
