It was a very nice stay overall. The beds were comfortable. The house had many rooms. It was very clean and we appreciated the mid-week cleaning during our 4 day stay. The garden is very beautiful.
There is only 1 shower/bath area in the house (downstairs). There are 2 toilets (one upstairs and one downstairs).
Location, big kitchen, many rooms
There were many missing utensils in the kitchen which the owner could easily prepare (some cheap one from IKEA for example)

This stay was beautiful and the staff were very kind ! Location is perfect as it’s very close to the station, fushimi inari and has plenty of convenient stores and restaurants near by. It’s authentic and very spacious

Just 1 min near Fushimi Yinari, I feel I am living inside this great area. Huge house with 5 bedrooms, big 2-3 living rooms. Garden is amazing place to take photos.
If Bathroom can updates will be good. And basement is full of humidity.

There was only one shower for 6 guys, and the top floor bathroom had no control panel. The Aircon was a bit funky, and the single bed room had a odd unpleasant odor, we weren't used to how the sound travels in the house everyone heard every foot step

The Machiya was absolutely beautiful, spacious, and full of charm! My wife and I were blown away that for the price, we had the entire villa, since it was large with many facilities. The villa was also perfect for taking pictures and photo ops (as there are several kimono rentals in the area). On top of this - the villa was steps away from Fushimi Inari! Lovely property, with very authentic features and so much space. We arrived with a group of ten (including two babies) and a lovely young lady greeted us with the keys and gave us a tour. There were English instructions for all the appliances and the house is just very very spacious. Now we had booked online for ten and they had laid out 5 double beds for us. Unfortunately the make up of our group...
Wonderful beds and futons but the pillows were a little high and hard. I used a rolled up towel in the end so it's no big deal.Read more
