The locationwas so great! the top of the shopping mall! The complimentaries the hotel provided were high quality.
A little hard to find the way to the hotel for the first time.
Well located adjacent to Shopping Centre, on top of Bus Port, across the road to main undercover arcade and walking distance from Kumamoto Castle.
No concerns.

The room was relatively dirty, with a big layer of dust under the bed and some litter. Maybe most people wouldn't notice, but i did yoga on the floor and it became really obvious that the cleaning wasn't very thorough.
Fantastic location right above a mall with easy breakfast options should you wish to skip the hotel breakfast, and a Family Mart, Starbucks, supermarket, food hall, etc. A couple minutes walk to Sunroad Shinshigai arcade with a ton of shopping and dining options. Also a very close stroll to Kumamoto Castle. Super comfortable and new room, sparkling clean.

The location is perfect.
You need to go to the 14th floor reception first to check in, then go back down to access your room. Every time you enter or leave the hotel, you have to repeat the same process, which is a bit frustrating.
It was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our 2 weeks tour in Kyushu. Other than the hotel being a little hassle to get into (the lobby was on the highest floor and to access the lobby, you'd have to find the lift on the 2nd floor) and possibly difficult to find if not for reviews we'd read beforehand, everything was great from the service, location, comfort, cleanliness and value for mone...Read more
Good location . Good room size for a couple short stay
Pillows are too small n flat and very soft. Incovenient check-in as Hotel is located on 14th floor and we had 5 luggages with us to bring up to our room without any service staff helping us. No directional signage to show hotel exact location from main road. We did not know that the hotel is located above a big shopping complex. Limited TV channels and only in Japanese.
Comfortable room with a great view. Killer location over the mall, so many dining options nearby - we just had to figure them out.
Breakfast included or at a reasonable rate would have been nice. We had to self-cater breakfast from the nearby Lawsons. Staff seemed a bit frosty. It was noisy because of the sakura fest, which wasn't their fault. Parking was extra through either of 2 affiliated lots.
