A beautiful hotel with a classic vibe. We loved sitting in the lounge downstairs and also enjoying a drink sat out in front overlooking the loch. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we had a fantastic meal. Our dog was made super welcome too.

Great location.. very comfortable dining room and lounge.. retaining many of their original features giving a sense of history.. delicious breakfast and dinner.. one of best porridges ever.. very comfortable and well sized bedroom with Victorian roll top bath. Will definitely come back. Loved the view across the lawn to loch long. Staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Not so great if you need accessible features but it doesn’t advertise as having those and… the staff were very helpful. But a couple of rooms with a few strategic handles in the bathroom would be really helpful
A wonderful small hotel - on the waterfront, lovely staff - we got an upgrade to the Library, which was beautiful. Fresh linens, good breakfast.
View from our room was lovely. Sweet Scottish woman serving breakfast was attentive. Dinner really tasty.
Breakfast buffet could be more exciting however cooked option is good. Dinner was delicious (but pretty expensive given that no other options available near by). Some work being done in the room next door so hallway etc was dusty and some noise. Lack lustre check-in welcome- some info or suggestions for local area would have been appreciated.

Very relaxing and a beautiful location
Booked this to take my daughter away for a relaxing night and that is exactly what we had. The lady on reception was very welcoming and showed us to our room which turned out to be a free upgrade. My daughter loved being able to sit outside in the evening looking onto the water. The atmosphere of the hotel is lovely and we will definitely return for a weekend next time.
