Pros (+) Exceptional staff, all of them were highly attentive and kind. Outstanding Japanese dinner and breakfast. Our room was Japanese style, and it was gorgeous. Best hotel experience we had in Japan. 10 out of 10, would go back if visiting the area again.
Cons (-) It’s a pity that tattoos are still a bit of a taboo in onsens, as many Westerners (and other cultures) have them.

Pros (+) Very confortable hotel - 25 mn from Nikko shrines but well worth the distance. Food is very good. Great onsen. Staff was very nice, despite not so good english.

Pros (+) Beautiful hotel, we stayed in the japanese room and it was fantastic! also the private onsen was really nice for the kids. The public onsen was big and beautiful. recommended

Pros (+) Great location only a 10 minute walk from the station so was easy to access. Nice hot spring baths, enjoyed it very much. Breakfast was delicious.
Cons (-) Overall property is a bit old, but it is pretty common with onsen hotels in Japan so gives it its own special vibe.

Pros (+) The food (dinner and breakfast) were of highest quality Japanese fair and truly exceeded our expectations. The meals were served by very attentive staff and were a very pleasant experience. The big baths were good but the water temperature was slightly on the low side. Outdoor baths were good.
Cons (-) In our room the living space and the bedroom were separated and the sofas in the living area were not terribly comfortable nor were they conveniently positioned.
