Our visit exceeded my expectations. For an additional nominal fee, we were able to check in early and had snacks, appetizers, cocktails available on the concierge level. Breakfast was also included. The staff also arranged a tour for us and taxi service.
The location was good the rooms were nice and spacious. The bathroom was a little bit old fashioned but it was functional
The breakfast and the food in general let the hotel down. It was very disappointing

I have already been in Intercontinental in other countries. This one was far below my expectations. There was bad smell in the room. Hand washing was licky. It is better for Intercontinental to sell this old building or renovate it.
Breakfast was ok. The location surroundings are a little poor. Don’t know how safe walking around at night would be?
I ordered breakfast in room and it was good. I liked the fast service and the food was good. I liked the staff who helped orient me to places I might need to find. I loved the evening van service for dropping off guests around town. I liked the building which is beautiful and elegant.
I think the bathroom in our room could use a renovation. The shower and other fixtures are dated. Normally in a hotel like this a guest has a bathrobe and slippers. These were missing. Mostly the room we stayed in was clean and elegant but needs updating.
