The fact that the hotel is run by the family owners, giver an extra touch of kindness and attention, specially at the kitchen
The breakfast spread was incredible, fresh fruit picked right from the property, homemade everything! The pool and snack bar during the day were wonderful. I really can’t recommend this little gem enough!
The rooms were small but they were extremely comfortable and thoughtfully prepared. I loved the bed and bedding. Especially after sleeping on many hard beds during my time in Italy. Also, a golf cart to get you and your luggage from reception to the rooms would be amazing!
We really enjoyed the location the fact that it is only a short drive into town and beach. We also liked the home cooked breakfast under the garden using the local Calabrian produce. Special thanks to Federica:)

From the moment you enter the gates you are treated with impeccably well manicured gardens. With plenty of parking if traveling by car. Walk into reception and you are greeted by the most welcoming host, Manuel who is very eager to explain things about the hotel and things to do around Tropea. Breakfast was great and staff was great.
I didnt like lots of staires, and also the room was to small. I had to carry my luggage up to staires, no elevator at all.
Unobtrusive staff, but attentive when needed. Breakfast outside with excellent range of food. Lovely grounds and pool.
Long walk to Tropea centre, but no footpaths beside roads. No onsite restaurant, but sister restaurant in Tropea was excellent.
We had an amazing stay at Il Borghetto. The property is peaceful, beautiful and very well maintained. We had a room with a large balcony and sea view. Our room was very clean and comfortable.
