I prefer Hotel Martinez in Cannes. They treat you so well on checkout. They don’t keep holding your money. Bad taste left after a nice stay with some great staff.
They hold on to your money for over one week after checkout. In other words, you pay in full and still they keep the hold money.
Location
The rooms are very outdated. The alarm clocks in both our rooms went off at 6am and wouldn’t turn off - no compensation. There wasn’t even a spoon to stir your in-room coffee, just a little stick. They left a bottle of red wine in my room as a welcome gift, only I would have appreciated if they had asked if I drink red or white .. they don’t care
Great hotel right in the center of prime Nice. Short walk to restaurants, shopping and of course the beach. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff is helpful and welcoming. Lovely, small pool area or when the beach gets too crowded.
You are in the center of the tourist hustle and bustle of the city, so if you are looking for a more quiet experience, it may not be the location for you.

The staff in the restaurants treated us as if we were a problem to be managed rather than an opportunity to create a great experience. I could it incredible they went to such great effort to make the rest of the offering special to be destroyed by bored, uninterested staff in their key restaurant areas. Not a five star experience.

I decided to celebrate my birthday and booked 4 rooms. When booking, a large amount was blocked on my card for these rooms, I paid in cash upon check-in. Nothing everything was excellent
Hotel location and facilities are great. Large, airy foyer abd friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent, the gym was small but usable. We didn't use the pool or sauna but it looked good too.
The corridors when walking to our room were smelly, and our room was clean and functional but there was no view. .
