gastronomic diner and typical japonese breakfast
limited outdoor spaces and facilities
Beautiful buildings, interiors, lovely rooftop bath cabanas, friendly staff. Food good, not always brilliant.
Some of the food.
Great view. Very good food. We had super nice presidential suite. (A bit used )
The property is a bit old . There are some parts that shall be changed upgraded . The owner shall invest money in order to have high standard and not destroyed parts with this cost . I did not liked that we did not get breakfast when leaving the property (early morning) with such a price and statement that this is 1 of top world hotels by Forbes 23 it was very disappointing . Hyakuna Garan is a beautiful gem, slightly quirky yet delightful. Set off a cliff (the lobby is on the 3rd level), the cliff face is lushly landscaped with trees and plants growing among a few large Ghibli-esque statues. The public areas are wonderful with glass panels allowing viewing of the "Ghibli" landscape on the cliff side and offering open views of the ocean on the other side. The resort is...
We travel frequently & have stayed at many accommodations. This is up there with the best. Location overlooking the ocean. Large room with balcony is excellent. Bathroom with ocean views. Private rooftop bath area was unique. Staff so helpful. Food amazing.
Everything. The journey/drive to Hyakunagaran from the airport. From entering the carpark, the welcoming staff, the reception and the 86sqm room with 2x queen size bed each right up to the roof top bath. These are the best physical spaces we did not expect (booked with only limited info). Importantly both wife and I were so relaxed that we will be back.
What didn't I like? No having more time there in Okinawa.
Extremely friendly staff and a very pleasant stay in general. The rooms are nice and everything is clean and spacious. The staff really tries everything to realise your wishes. Proper 5 star service. The little remote area protects you from bigger tourism groups and there is a nice cafe just next to the hotel in the hills.
Just had some minor issues in communicating the details of my stay but the staff speaks english. May have been better if my japanese was better though. And the beach part of the hotel had more stones and shells than i would have expected from the pictures.
