We booked the Humble House specially to watch the Taipei 101 countdown fireworks from as close as we can. It was absolutely close. The best part was the arrangements made by the hotel for guests to watch the fireworks from an open terrace within the hotel. We didnt even have to step out of the hotel to join the crowd. Pros (+) The hotel is centrally located with lots of great shopping and dining nearby. The room and beds were very comfortable with modern conveniences. the breakfast buffet was amazing with a wide variety of traditional Taiwanese and western items. The staff was very attentive and greeted us every morning. Really wonderful overall!
Cons (-) Absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel, but you do need to take 2 separate elevators, one from ground to 6 (lobby) and then from 6 to your room floor. It was a little confusing at first, but not an issue once you figure it out. Also no self-service laundry on site.
