Stunning property situated on the river that runs from Lake Taupo to the Huka Falls. The main lodge is beautifully appointed and provides seating and dining areas inside and outside. The rooms are equally wonderfully, each having access to a Porch, rolling grass and the river view.
I found the shower floor slippery and management immediately provided a non skid mat.
Food was exceptional, Location 2nd to none , Accommodation was simply outstanding.

wonderful setting and the room was comfortable, warm and luxurious. The setting is amazing and each room has a view of the river. The service was very attentive and impeccable. We were Meg at the door every time we arrived, our car was parked for us. We were given a personal tour of the main building and a glass of champagne when we arrived. Lovely location, great for fishing (but I don’t fish)
Tour costs are very high and disappointing. If flying in from overseas, it took us 5 hours drive to drive the 217km from Auckland, and helicopter transfers were extortionate (3-4 times Australian prices, 5 times more than US). Not the lodge’s fault, but it will make it more difficult logistically to go back.
Place is great Staff are good service
Food not up to standard of a luxury lodge Which is one of the main items not good value for money
Beautiful property just out of town quiet and peaceful.
Food choices at Dinner need a bit of attention for a Lodge of this statue
