Pros (+) Enjoyed the easy walking distance to many cultural sites around the area, next to the river. Loved the restaurant on level 3, quality dimsum. There are laundry facilities and a small gym on level 5.
Cons (-) The hotel is tired and the reviews set a different expectation. Carpet stains, gaping flooring, funky smells and leaking shower. My check-in was particularly unsatisfactory. I had a little trouble with making payment via the local payment app, the lady at reception was clearly impatient and rude. She didn't help and said "troublesome/annoying" in Chinese in front of me. Pros (+) Excellent location right on Tianzi Wharf in the building that contains a Starbucks. A laundry gym and restaurant all on the same floor as reception. Although I spoke no Cantonese the staff were very helpful
