The staff, food, location and stylish art filled public areas (hosts exhibitions in the corridors) with a stunning view over the city to Castel San Jorge and down to the River Tagus. Many reviews of the Hotel do Chiado said how wonderful the staff are, that is certainly true. We were warmly greeted outside of the door as our taxi drew up and shown to our rooms then guided round to the Bar/Restaura...
Nothing really, though I did find my room a bit bland compared to the rest of the Hotel.Read more
We really can't say enough good things about this hotel. From the minute we walked in the staff greeted us warmly and were super helpful to two confused and jet-lagged folks who'd suffered a major flight snafu. The room was very comfortable (great beds lots of pillows) but the best part was the terrace overlooking Lisbon. Our room definitely had one of the best views in the city. Definitely worth t...

Excellent service from the staff especially Alberto. Everyone was warm and very welcoming.
Nothing
Super location; very friendly staff; terrace with stunning view
The carpet needs to be changed in the room. It is in appalling condition
Very attentive staff and always professional. The rooftop bar had the most amazing views of the castle and down to the sea.
Nothing could have been better, I would recommend to everyone
Breakfast was served in a beautiful room overlooking the city and river. Our room was large and had a lovely terrace. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance and yet our room and hotel was very quiet though surrounded by a lot of restaurants and shopping.

The room was superb. The terrace was a real bonus. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel lived up to my expectations.
Only one thing. For travellers needing a twin bedded room there is no guarantee that their needs will be met. The hotel needs to instigate a first booking, first allocation system and let guests know at time of booking whether their request can be met.
The staff was very friendly, cordial and helpful. The hotel bills itself as an art haven, and there are many pictures on the walls to bolster that impression. There is a rooftop bar with a great view of the city, but there is no protection there if there are high winds so evening drinks could require outer garments. The restaurant was adequate, with a breakfast that we included in our price, and a...
The hotel is on a coblestone one-way street on a steep hill. Nearby sidewalks are not very wide. I did not see how other rooms were sized and configured, so I cannot make any statement about their quality or features. There are larger rooms than ours was and apparently some suites on the top floor. Our room was serviceable but not spacious, with two twin beds pushed togther. The interenet and TV w...Read more
Perfect boutique hotel in prime location. Room 712 was private, spacious and had a lovely terrace/patio deck with spectacular views. Very good breakfast and exceptional staff, friendly, professional, informative and helpful. We have stayed in many 4 star hotels over the decades, Hotel do Chiado rates as the pinnacle of what a great hotel stands for. HIGHLY recommended.
Nothing, except we would loved to have stayed longer, 5 days is not enough in this hotel and Lisbon.
