The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the room was large, comfortable, with places to sit, a big picture window with a nice view, and excellent amenities such as a coffee pod machine. Pros (+) Terrific hotel, very nicely located in Gion with walking distance to down town as well as some sights. Concierge and staff very friendly and willing to help on any matter

Cons (-) The shower curtain had mould. The hotel was so busy that every time we were in the lobby there were suitcases everywhere and it felt like a bus terminal. The lobby toilets had rubbish piled high both in the cubicles and by the sink. The staff didn’t make the stay feel luxury at all, despite it costing over £200 for one night.

Pros (+) The location...perfect. The staff went above and beyond! .The room had lots of functional space and fashionable decor. Comfy beds. Good water pressure. Lounge was very useful. The complimentary shuttle was such a nice touch!
