Bar area was small, and too much like a hostel.

The Celestine Kyoto Gion was perfectly situated a short walk from the Hōkan-ji Temple (Yasaka Pagoda) where you will find picturesque streets and shops (and along with it, plenty of tourists). Breakfast is very good. The staff were very helpful. Everything is great.
Great location, attentive and helpful staff. Room was a pretty good size; had to do a bit of re-arrangement with the chairs and coffee table to put the luggage down. One good feature was the sliding doors which enabled the bathroom area to be a private space.
All pretty good! The lounge was very crowded especially for the free drinks between 4 and 6 pm. It really needs more seating

We lived the Celestine Hotel. The location was perfect, our room on the top floor was bright, good size and very quiet. The staff was extremely helpful, the concierges had excellent recommendations for dinner and made reservations. There were many options for breakfast, all fresh and tasty.
We were very pleased overall. Would go back and certainly are recommending this hotel to our friends.
Madoka San the assistant manager was extremely helpful and made our trip so much better solving every problem we had and giving the best advise. She is a treasure!!!
There were no drawers where to place our cloth and that was annoying. The construction noise was bothersome.
Stylish, great breakfast, nice atmosphere, and great public bath.
Everything was great- our room was a little small but still manageable.
Staff were absolutely amazing. So friendly, helpful and the service on par with a 5 star hotel. The location is good , beds are super comfy, public bath is great and the amenity product was fab.
Wish they had more facilities from gym to a comfy area to hangout it. The lounge was too small for the size of the hotel.
