Don’t judge too harshly for the lack of air conditioning - in such historic buildings, getting permits is extremely difficult. Service impeccable. I almost felt like I was being welcomed home. Better to stay here in this lovely hotel and fairytale like village than in Bern!
Coffee was good and fresh but could be even better if they had a better machine...
Bit of a quirky bedroom design but very spacious and clean and a lovely standalone bathtub. Staff were very helpful and the evening dinner food was also very good.
Lovely breakfast service, lovely personal, big room, comfortable bed, huge bathroom, quiet in the night...
Maybe some furniture a bit old-fashioned, but it fits the context.
The Building and the rooms are really really nice. You can feel the historic athmosphere. Also the staff was very friendly.
The Kitchen says it has an Award. Therefore we had some expectations regarding the breakfast: Unfortunately the expectations were not fulfilled. The staff was really nice but the Concept with etagere is just ourdated and the amount was just way too Little for two persons. Please, rather do a nice buffet!

Woken up one night with noises above ceiling - plumbing? No apologies from staff on checkout. Disappointing.
I’ve been coming to the Stadthaus for roughly 20 years and have always found it an exceptional location and building. I have always been well taken care of and have enjoyed every stay. It’s a beautiful area and a peaceful place to enjoy yourself. The food is always good and the service exceptional.
You can’t do anything about the church bells that ring in the middle of the night- wear ear plugs!

The Hotel is located on the edge of the old town, quiet location with nice view to the city (from my room). I have checked in the evening and the reception seem to be waiting for me. Simple and easy check in and a friendly staff member greeted me. In the room a hand written and signed welcome note and fresh fruits were prepared for me, very nice touch.
