Location and staff helpfulness
Kings day madhouse, too many non guests using hotel facilities
The location on a quiet section of the canal but near good restaurants and cafes. The young very friendly staff who were super helpful and the very comfortable beds.
Breakfast although freshly prepared was mediocre. It would have been nice to have some fruit and salad items. Small plastic pots of creamer, so e viromentally unfriendly.
Great location, quiet, with a great little bar. Made to order breakfast ( order night before by 11pm). Clean, modern, and wonderful for King’s Day!
No shelf in shower to put personal shampoo/ razor, etc. it was difficult to regulate air and heat despite reading directions. No bedside lights. Had to ask for two days to fix soap pumps in room ( minor but inconvenient). No where to put large decorative bed pillows at night! At this price point, these things stuck out.
The hotel is in a fantastic location in the Jordaan neighborhood, only a 15 minute walk from the central station. The front reception staff were all lovely, friendly, and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was warm with good water pressure. Surprisingly, the room was overall quiet even though it was facing out onto the canal. This even though we stayed over the weekend of King's Day...
The room was pretty cozy for the price. We would have been much more comfortable with the two of us and our baby's travel crib if we had chosen a 3-person room. However, it seemed prohibitively expensive so we went with the 2-person room. We also had to bring our own travel crib or else be charged 20 euro per night to use the hotel's crib. Excellent location and room was full of character. Really big and a fantastic view.
It’s a bit pricey what it is but then again it’s central so is probably comparable with surrounding.
Location was excellent - everything we wanted to do was well within walking distance of the hotel. Staff was always very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable.
Perfect location in Jordaan. Many options to eat out and walk around the city.
The location was great and the two staff from Vancouver and the gentleman this morning with blonde hair who checked me out was super kind and helpful by carrying my luggage down the stairs to my taxi. Also, the bed was very comfy and I’m hard to please as I have a bad back. And the drapes were great — not too sheer like sometimes is the case.
The toilet paper was like paper towel. Too think and not soft. Also the garage bin in the toilet didn’t open from the bottom, but just from the top. It’s inconvenient and unsanitary to have this in my view (and unusual in other hotels in Europe) Also, the room was quite small. Ok for one night as a single but with more luggage or more nights and another person, it’s pretty tight.
The location is very nice , it’s about 10min walking to the central area. Stuff was friendly. Room is enough big but bathroom whey to small. Will be great if the lights was more because at the room it’s pretty dark.
Perfect location - walkable from train station. We paid for a canal view and it was very worth it!
