Excellent location & very friendly staff.
I didn’t realize that the hotel was split into 2 buildings separated by a street. My room was in a building different than the pictures…and was not overlooking the courtyard as shown in the pics of the hotel. But other than that a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

Stayed in San Felipe 16-22 March and found the hotel well located, clean and bright with a friendly staff. Room was large and reasonably appointed while bathroom was very large very well-appointed with big fluffy towels and great shower and water pressure. Small balcony was enjoyable.
Bed was a bit funky, making strange sounds when either of us moved. Only problem was a charge for a coffee spill on the bed sheets: charge was $125 for cleaning. A bit much! Other problem was Bookings.com added $83 in vat which I understood to be included in the rate. I complained but San Felipe showed me the invoice from Bookings including commission (extortionate!) and indeed vat had been added....Read more
The hotel location is very good, in the Old town. Convenient to walk around. The room is clean, bed is comfortable.
There was NO Hot water for 4 days ! The staff did not notify us when we checked in. After a cold, uncomfortable shower, we asked why there is no hot water and they told us that the boiler is broken and should be fixed by end of day. Second morning, still no hot water. Location is fine and staff is very helpful
We could not get hot water from the shower although I mentioned it on the first day of our arrival. The flush was bad functioning with making a lot of noise that did not really stop given the leak....
We stayed at Hotel San Felipe for four nights and had a fantastic experience overall. The room was spacious, clean, and neatly maintained throughout the stay. I especially loved the balcony — it was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee. The bathroom was also spotless, featuring a large shower with consistently hot water and great water pressure. The only thing to be aware of is that it can get a little noisy at night due to outside traffic and nightlife, but that’s somewhat expected in a lively area like this.Read more
Office staff were very helpful and pleasant. I liked the overall feel and style of the building itself interior and exterior. Bed was comfortable.
Only had one negative encounter with restaurant staff who seemed unfriendly. A relatively minor problem for me was the step entry way to the building which had an uneven surface; unexpected/odd step...which would be a tripping hazard for some. Great location with lots of lovely shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Friendly staff.
I think there could be more sound proofing between the rooms as I could hear my neighbours phone conversations.
