Great location, room and bathroom very luxurious, we had a balcony

The location is really good. Within walking distance to restaurants, shops, the harbor (where the boats to whale and puffin watch start), museums, the music hall, and the huge church….
Maybe the lack of a parking garage, but on the other hand street parking was not an issue (easy to find and safe in our experience).
Excellent location, easy walk into the centre of town and easy for tour pick ups and close to the main bus terminal. The hotel is well set up and well maintained, we stayed for almost a week and were very comfortable. Even though we had booked a small room it had every facility we needed. Room was very small. Price I was quoted on booking.com ended up being $100 lower than the rate I was charged. If the rate is not guaranteed upon booking and requires prepayment thru booking.com this should be made clear at the time of the booking.

Shower section was so dimly lit I found it a safety issue.
Staff were good; breakfast was excellent
The rooms in the annex DO NOT HAVE AN ELEVATOR!! This was not known at the time of our booking—- and made for some considerable difficulty with luggage!
Really comfortable beds, great bathroom and the food was fantastic. The staff were really helpful and friendly
One thing we did have was Lots of noise from a bar behind us until early hours of the morning but it was a Saturday night. It certainly wouldn’t stop me staying again if I returned to Iceland. No parking at the hotel but you can park on very nearby streets for reasonable money and using a parking app

The “studio” i had #164 (same for 161, 2,3) was partly below road level, so constant car /pedestrian noise and no outlook, open doors. Also no USB charging facilities TV did not take HDMI
