Pros (+) This little hotel is a lovely place to stay right bang in the middle of Castres, a lively, charming town with all the facilities you could want for a great break. The rooms we had were quiet, generous in size, immaculately clean, with comfortable beds and lots of hot water. Breakfast was a step above the 'continental' norm of bread and jam and a croissant, we had a choice of cereals, breads, meats...
Cons (-) Nothing. Castres, like so many cities these days is not, in the first instance, welcoming to strangers in cars. Once on foot, the only dodging to be done is from bikes and e-scooters. The city traffic system is based on a giant roundabout with the city in the middle and (very) limited access and no parking. Be sure to drive slowly and that your sat-nav is good and up-to-date.
