Pros (+) The hotel is a stone's throw from the main plaza. The service and staff are really excellent. Close to museums and major attractions of Quito. Great place to spend a few days in and get to know the city. It is a 40-minute drive to a museum of the equator, which is really interesting and fun.

Pros (+) It is hard to summarize the incredibly wonderful stay we had at the Plaza Grande in Quito but I will try. To start, my wife and I had been traveling all over South America and were literally worn out by the time we reached the Quito airport via flight from Santiago. Pros (+) The rooms were large
Cons (-) The property was on the corner of the presidential Square and unfortunately surrounded by police and arm guards. The square was completely deserted from dark and did not feel very safe although in the daytime it felt very safe. The beds are very hard which is not my choice.

Pros (+) Excellent location in the Grand Square and easy access to all points in the Old town. A hotel with old charm and and lovely staff.
Cons (-) A very minor gripe ordered scambeled eggs got an omlette probably i need to improve my Spanosh.
