The Hotel Peter & Paul is a 71-room hotel in a former school, rectory, church and convent nestled in the residential Marigny neighborhood, just downriver from the French Quarter. For more than 150 years, Sts. Peter and Paul church, school house, convent and rectory stood at the corner of Burgundy and Mandeville street in the heart of the Marigny. The site is steeped in history, from the splendid Henry Howard-designed buildings to the schools appearance in A Confederacy of Dunces, and its authors (possibly apocryphal) three-person funeral in the church. Over the course of four years, the former school house, rectory, church and convent were each carefully restored and repurposed for new congregants. Each building has its own inspiration and narrative, with the resulting restoration ensuring that no two guest rooms are exactly alike. We hope you will honor this landmark by adding to its history through your own experiences.iHotelier/iStay

Good
Blake, Mar 2025
Pros (+) The grounds, the architecture, the common areas, the food & beverage, the cafe.
Cons (-) Huge discrepancy in rooms -- I was traveling with several friends staying in the hotel, and most of my friends had asked to change rooms within minutes of their arrivals. I decided not to rock the boat and just settled with my room which was a small, dark cellar for $600 nightly overlooking the sidewalk, but I did have the chance to see where my friends were staying, and their rooms were markedly ...

Pros (+) Loved, loved the history of the property. Gorgeous property. The restaurant and bar was also phenomenal. The location was amazing due to our main objective was to hear good music and watch the sugar bowl. Due to visiting NOLA many times, we didn’t care much about being close to Bourbon Street.
Cons (-) Even though the furniture was pretty well matched to the theme of the property, the seating in our room was not comfortable. The couch was not one to lay around and watch tv. We were there for 4 days, and we wanted to relax in NYE during the day to watch bowl games.
