The property was clean and had an amazing view. The pool was a highlight, it was a good size and had a great view. The Tuk Tuk service up the hill was reliable to get up and down the incredibly steep hill.
The property and rooms felt very dated and in need of a major refresh. The level of customer service was not up to a suitable standard, there was no interest from the staff (for example checking if there was anything we needed in the room or if the food at breakfast was ok).All the other hotels on our trip have gone above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable but that wasn’t the case here. The local staff are very friendly and hard working. One of the younger ones was always running around, cleaning rooms, sweeping, cutting the hedge and driving the tuk tuk up and down the hill, even in the heat of the day. The breakfast was good and staff at breakfast again very friendly.
Unfortunately quite a bit and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, it was the least friendly and most run down place we stayed on our trip. 1. This doesn’t feel like a hotel it feels like a home stay, and one where you feel you are intruding on the owners house, rather than welcomed in. 2. We had the best time at this hotel :) The room was very clean with everyday cleaning, breakfast were more than rich and very delicious, staff was very helpful and they had a smile on their faces everyday. Our kids really enjoyed the pool area, there is a box with pool toys, and also a little kids space in a restaurant. There are three turtles in the hotel and you can feed them with fruit. The location with those stunning beach views and wonderful pool. Our bungalow was big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast fruit platter was wonderful and the staff were friendly and helpful. The tuk tuk up was very welcome and the drivers were excellent. This hotel isn't super modern but it has old world charm in spades.

Way too much for what it’s worth. I’m giving a 1 to equalize the score. Photos don’t show the reality. They have a dog that is absolutely not friendly towards kids, beds are really bad. The room was very big and confortable, very clean. Staff was very kind and polite people, the pool was beautiful and the landscape fantastic. Near the hotel there was manu restaurant in front of the beach
Everything is clean and well kept. The staff are all really friendly. Sri Lankan breakfast is amazing
