Wonderful mountain lakeside location and grand hotel with a superb spa. The Spanish guitar accompaniment to breakfast was an unexpected delight.

This is an iconic hotel, an architectural pearl on a site of great natural beauty that provides great gastronomy, hiking routes, a beautiful park with waterfalls and a spa. It can be a perfekt honeymoon location but it is perfect for a few quiet days in the forest as well. We loved it!
The spa was a bit small and at times crowded, and the different water attractions are too short and you have to wait for them even when you are the only guest.

Very good and varied breakfast.
The large swimming pool could be better with a bit warmer water.

The Palota building is stunning both in and out. In winter the surroundings are not as amazing, but the Christmas decorations - thankfully they were still there on 6th of January - do balance things out a bit. The spa was cold and not comfortable to stay in. All massage slots were booked during our stay, which was a bit disappointing. But if you are looking for a mesmerising architecture and nature, and having a pleasant stay, this place is absolutely worth visiting.Read more
