Pros (+) Simple, clean. Spare, but everything you need. Well located for seeing old city. Permits dogs, which was essentail.
Cons (-) Only one elevator which was out for part of a day, requiring a long climb. Because the hotel is located in pedestrian area, the porter should be available to move luggage earlier than 10AM.

Pros (+) The beautiful design and historic preservation of the palazzo. The helpful staff. The outstanding breakfast and access to the terrace and the fascinating library collection of art and architecture l. Even the music created a light jazzy atmosphere.
Cons (-) At first it took getting used to the pedestrian only access and the taxi pickup but again the staff made it easy to find our way in and out of the hotel. That is minor compared to the easy access to the sights in the historic district.
