Amazing location and beach
I recently stayed at Hotel Opera and was pleased with the overall cleanliness and well-maintained facilities. The hotel itself is modern and comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to cleanliness throughout my stay.
I was disappointed with the room I booked. I had chosen a partial sea view room, but the view of the sea was barely visible from the balcony, which was a letdown. Although the sea was creatively painted on the TV wall, it didn’t quite make up for the lack of a real view.
Excellent, varied, generous breakfast. Delicious food, overall. Very inspired design of the whole place: the hotel per se, lounge, rooms, breakfast & bar area (our favorite place). Frontline to the beach: a huge +. Valet (and safe) parking. Wonderful, very friendly and receptive staff. The best experience we had so far on the Black Sea shore. And even outside Romania.
Our stay was too short... :( Personal, subjective discomfort: either they allow smoking, or some people allowed themselves to smoke in a semi-open area part of the restaurant, near the swimming-pool...
Everything was really nice, from the hotel room, staff, food etc.
Pool was cold as the sun is blocked most of the day by the hotel, maybe a heat pump would help here. Also the beach had a lot of shells unfortunately, you need slippers mandatory, a layer of soft sand on top would be nice

The property looks good and clean
The services are not good. The waiters are not attentive to the needs of the customers. If you are thirsty, you have to go to the bar alone to order, because otherwise you can wait for half an hour.
The pool and beach are beautiful, the grounds are super clean and well kept and the bar is great!
The staff (especially the reception) is not helpful. We got the same answer of we don't know to every question regarding the area or what there is to do around. There is no concierge to ask so you are on your own
the rooms are clean, the beach is well laid out with comfortable sunbeds, the hotel pool is clean and well maintained, the hotel staff is very helpful. the food both on the beach and at the hotel restaurant is varied and good
although the food was good and you had a lot to choose from, the prices are still a bit high, even very high.
