The location is really great, a few steps away from the subway, very convenient. It is clean and the personnel ist really friendly.
If you add the tax and service to the price that booking.com quoted, the bill is a bit more than you expected.
This was the second time staying at the Hotel New Otani Hakata and was another EXCELLENT experience!!!

Luxurious, great service, spacious room
Might need some renovation. Location was good but still about 15-20 minutes walk to main attractions. Metro stop is right by the hotel though (we didn’t use it).

You really eat with the eye. Room i...

The hotel was fully booked on day of our arrival and des...
Room is ok size. It’s 10 minutes away by wall to the centre. Buffet dinner is lovely though we didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant on 14th floor, as it was New Year Eve.

I always like New Otani hotels in Japan, but this was my first time staying with New Otani in Fukuoka, and not surprisingly it was a very good experience as expected
The one-off slippers are very cheap, not compatible with a five-star hotel like New Otani. Japanese hotels like New Otani used to provide very nice high quality slippers including sometimes the traditional Japanese slippers. The increasing use of cheap one-off amenity do not save the environment --- I understand the intention, but the intention does not necessarily produce the intended outcome...i...Read more
