We had a fantastic time at Hotel Nevada, even though it wasn’t ski season. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had something to enjoy every day — from hiking suggestions to spa relaxation and local tips. spacious room (free upgrade to larger apartment), amazing view, helpful staff, pets are welcomed, well equipped kitchen, parking in front of the hotel
Beautiful and spotlessly clean, friendly staff, nice views, free parking, large room with balcony, great restaurant, everything :) you also receive a guest card with free access to the Alpine Therme (Alpenquell) spa, local bus service and cable cars, all over to Ischgl and back (in Summer)! Really good value for money, and in the restaurant we had one of the best Schnitzel in Switzerland.
I suppose it's a slight miscommunication on booking.com that the hotel is advertised with hotel spa access, however our "room only" (i.e. no-breakfast needed) reservation did not include the spa, and that would have been a 20 CHF p.p surcharge - ultimately we did not need this facility anyway, just pls. double-check the fine print. Top Spa area, very relaxing. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Nice room and very comfortable bed.
The breakfast was about the only positive thing, as it offers a huge variety of food. However, the buffet was open and people stood there, without any masks, talking over the open food and touching it with their hands... This was very inappropriate in Covid-times.
The hotel owner is a very difficult person. The hotel didn't offer what had been promised in the booking confirmation and also e-mail received from the hotel. Then, on top of that, she charged us more for the room than what our Booking.com bill said. The wellness area is a naked zone only, this was nowhere mentioned in the booking. Excellent location and good value for money in the middle of Samnaun.
A bit dated in some ways, but it didn't really detract from the experience
