The hotel was very clean and intimate. If you are looking to be away from the party in Tulum, this location is great. A good spot to disconnect and lay around on the beach. I will also mention the staff was very kind and accommodating. Great communication before and during my stay!
There is a seaweed problem in Tulum, most people are aware of this now. But that being said the seaweed wasn't removed and I did notice other hotels actually getting it removed so people could enjoy the beach. Also, this may have been an oversight on my part but there was no TV in the hotel room. This obviously isn't an issue for everyone, but for me I was disappointed.
The staff were very friendly, the location right on the beach was excellent and the food served in the restaurant was of a very high standard. The room was large and tranquil. The spa was also excellent.
The pluming in all Tulum hotels leaves a little to be desired.
This small beachfront hotel is a delight - with warm attentive staff, a beautiful facility that is well-maintained and comfortable beachfront lounges. Wonderful little Boutique Hotel, pure understatement, luxury but simplicity, really authentic:) very nice Welcome, great staff, very supportive, friendly and competent!! The beach is amazing, the food one of the best, we ever had.. ThX for a really wonderful time in this little paradise!
The only thing to mention is, that the AC is a bit loud, but after the first night, we gut used to it:)

The beach club was dead we had to go to others. Small fitness centre not great for someone who likes to gym
Amazing boutique hotel, staff were incredible the whole time. The rooms with a pool on the balcony were wonderful. Breakfast each day was delicious, we could have it in the restaurant beside the beach or brought to our rooms- a lovely touch! The pool and beach lounges are stunning too. It’s the most lovely stay we’ve had! Would love to visit again.
The showers might be salt water, which is okay but we hadn’t read this.

Friendly staff
We recently stayed at Ma’xanab expecting a luxurious 5-star experience, but it turned out to be the complete opposite. Here are the main issues we encountered: 1. Awful room condition: The room had an unbearable smell of mold and humidity. We could hardly stand to be in there; it was truly unbearable. 2. This is my second time at Ma’xanab and it’s just as perfect as the first time. The property is clean and well kept. The staff is attentive from the time you confirm your stay to the time you get back home after your stay. The food and drinks at the property are enjoyable so you don’t always have to leave if you want a night “in”. Perfect stay right on the beach.
