Beautiful looking property. Lovely rooms. Record players in the rooms and coffee in the morning were wonderful. Welcome cocktail was a treat! Room was always beautifully clean.
The noise from the main road was intense. Better glazing in the street adjacent windows is definitely needed. We wanted to love the place but sometimes it felt a little faulty towers. Breakfast ran out of key items (eg toast or bacon) on 2 of the 3 mornings we were there and there are only 3 dishes on the breakfast menu to plan for! Everything was great!
Our air conditioner didn’t work. And the lighting in the rooms is SO DARK. wouldn’t recommend if you’re needing to get ready in the evening to go out somewhere. We could not get over how dark it was. I was using my phone light. Great for ambiance but terrible for practicality
Very nice and helpful, friendly staff. The property is well kept and offers sweet, charming details, like an old fashioned record player in the room. Fresh coffee and milk are being delivered to your room door in the morning. Attentive details, that make the hotel unique.
Rooms are rather small, we stayed for one night only, so it didn´t really matter but if we had planned this as a vacation, I would have not appreciated it at all. Location of the hotel is right by the main road, still the views of the beach are pretty, but even with all windows closed traffic is definitely disturbing as it can be heard all night and it affects a good night´s sleep. Place is clean and pleasant staff is very nice . The theme of old Holiwood resirt is cool
The place is clearly overpriced even in comparison to other places in town . As opposed to the impression it is not on the beach and you dont even see the beach. Some rooms are too small and have a big column in the middle to the point that you cannot even sit comfortably unless you sit on the bed and there is no place for luggage. Fabulous hosts, really lovely. We got some welcome drinks and a very warm welcome. We even got a new room, because the first one seemed to loud. The French toast for breakfast was amazing.
But the house was pretty noisy. You could hear the street the whole night trough. And there were a lot of fruit flies in the bathroom. The pool was dirty, there has been a lot of sand in there. Could be a great hotel, but just not worth the money in my opinion.

Parking was a little strained and sound protection between floors wasn’t ideal
The breakfast was outstanding! With 3 options to choose from, we were both able to enjoy very different meals. Both were filling, and nutritious, and what we'd both consider a top quality, high end meal.
The air conditioning was giving us trouble, but the fan kept us cool enough.
Overall a lovely stay. The bar staff are friendly and attentive, great location and wonderful breakfast and pool area
The gentleman who greeted us upon arrival wasn’t particularly friendly or apologetic that our room wasn’t ready for check-in. He did not offer us the welcome drink. Some parts of the room hadn’t been fully cleaned
