The location and staff were excellent
I was charged an extra £10 per night for my wife to stay in the same bedroom? Even though it was booked for our anniversary?? The staff claimed it was only booked for 1 person even though it was booked via booking.com. And for the price I paid I would say that was more than adequate to cover the room Either the hotel or booking com needs to address this😬
very clean hotel, good staff and food, enjoyed staying in such an old building
Lovely ambience and perfectly central. Lovely Tudor room.
No idea if the heating had been turned off due to the heat of the previous week but it was chilly in the room and bathroom and we couldn't get the radiators to work.
The breakfast was on of the best I have had. Excellent
Perfect location, clean, great staff.

The free snacks and drinks in the room, the night light in the bathroom
The room was slightly cramped I would take the chair and foot stool away for more space
The staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was massive which we loved. Nice new decor and bathroom. Great air conditioning. Free water, crisps and cans of drinks in the fridge. The lunch in the Woodsman was very good.
The lift was out of order for the whole of our stay from Sat to Mon. We were in the 2nd floor and that is a lot of stairs to carry up our luggage.
Excellent location for visiting Stratford .The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is beautifully kept. Use of the gym was an asset
Our Queen bed was quite uncomfortable and the bathroom was small.
The staff is cheerful, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is well situated, within walking distance to all the sights such as the Swan Theatre, Holy Trinity Church and Shakespeare’s birthplace as well as shopping and restaurants. It has historical charm with all the modern conveniences. We’ve stayed here twice and would definitely stay here again.
The location, the combination of old and new, the room and the garden and most of all the staff were friendly & informative
