The Neighbourhood with a World Stage. In the heart of this Shakespearean market town is Hotel Indigo® Stratford-upon-Avon, you’ll find us surrounded by the wealth of culture this idyllic town has too offer. Our neighbourhood is steeped in history, being the birthplace of the renowned playwright William Shakespeare. The 16th-century birthplace of Shakespeare and the iconic Royal Shakespeare Theatre are just a stone's throw away from our location. One can easily explore New Place, which boasts beautiful gardens and commissioned artwork that pays tribute to the family home of Shakespeare. Good
Allan, May 2025
Pros (+) The location and staff were excellent
Cons (-) I was charged an extra £10 per night for my wife to stay in the same bedroom? Even though it was booked for our anniversary?? The staff claimed it was only booked for 1 person even though it was booked via booking.com. And for the price I paid I would say that was more than adequate to cover the room Either the hotel or booking com needs to address this😬

Pros (+) The staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was massive which we loved. Nice new decor and bathroom. Great air conditioning. Free water, crisps and cans of drinks in the fridge. The lunch in the Woodsman was very good.
Cons (-) The lift was out of order for the whole of our stay from Sat to Mon. We were in the 2nd floor and that is a lot of stairs to carry up our luggage.

Pros (+) The staff is cheerful, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is well situated, within walking distance to all the sights such as the Swan Theatre, Holy Trinity Church and Shakespeare’s birthplace as well as shopping and restaurants. It has historical charm with all the modern conveniences. We’ve stayed here twice and would definitely stay here again.
