Lovely decor a real touch of history The room was beautiful, slightly small Free coffee in the reception area in the morning Perfect location for access to the Riverwalk
The chest of drawers was vintage and was tricky, the top drawer stuck and we couldn't open it fully Even though coffee was available in the reception in the morning, a coffee maker in the room would have been a nice touch
I love historic hotel it was old yet super clean it was like a time machine to another era . Staff was friendly everything was antique yet clean . Rooms had high ceilings , windows with wooden shutters, electricity was obviously added later . The ac was cold full size refrigerator and one one the most comfortable beds and pillows I’ve experienced in awhile at a great price .
The hotel bar was a little too dark for my taste however some people like that dim speak easy appearance I find it hard to stay awake after a good meal and a couple of drinks .
The atmosphere and the history or nostalgia.
No microwave, dim lighting in the bathroom at night.
The hotel was gorgeous. Everything was detailed to feel like a stay outside the city.
The bar and restaurant were closed, which was a shame. I'm sure they're fantastic but it was an inconvenience to find out when I got there.
It was a beautiful hotel. Location was great. I loved the vintage look but not the stay. Will not stay ever again.
Floors creaked. And parking lot was extremely small to park vehicles. We had a truck and later our uber driver couldn’t get out of the parking lot because area was so small. I had trouble sleeping that night and it sounded like somebody was standing outside our door, the floors would creak. It was creepy. We also got charged for a food item that was provided by the hotel and we did not consume. Th...Read more
This is a stylish hotel right off the river walk with kind staff.
Nothing.
Everything was perfect. Ambiance was spot on.
They don’t have a small store. Just a small area to purchase waters,Tylenol, snacks or toiletries.
The hotel had a quaint old tiny charm which I liked. The staff was sufriendly and helpful for the most part. I wanna commend Rudy , the front desk clerk. He was very friendly and very helpful.
There was a bad smell in part of the 3rd floor.
Bedding and pillows were very nice and room got very cool.
No chairs- no vanity- no storage- poor lighting in bathroom. Was very difficult to get glammed up for a wedding. We had to sit on the floor to put on our shoes because the beds were tall and we had nowhere to sit. Had we not been in a hurry when we arrived, I would have asked to change rooms. We could only lie down or stand in this room. Absurd for the money we paid.
Location is excellent! Walking distance to Alamo and Riverwalk.Parking very convenient and easy access to the lobby. The hotel has a vintage vibe and it’s historical.Friendly front desk staffs who share lots of valuable information about the city and best restaurants to eat, Adrian the front -desk girl very friendly and always smiling.
Little disappointed that their speakeasy bar downstairs was closed on Sunday. They only open on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. And the restaurant Ocho was closed. Felt little let down as I was looking forward dining at Ocho. But found a great restaurant at Riverwalk that serves the best Margaritas and Spanish food. Must try Iron Cactus when in San Antonio.
