Cons (-) The shower did that alternating hot/cold thing that seems to be a feature of most Hotel du Vin bedrooms. Bar area needed a good clean, especially the carpets which didn't look like they had been vacuumed for days

Pros (+) All the staff were amazing. The food was delicious 😋 The bed was comfortable and very large.
Cons (-) We had a balcony room, and we only had a small wardrobe to hang clothes in. There was no chest of drawers to put any other clothes like T-shirts and underwear. The room was really large, so it could quite easily have fitted one in the room. Cons (-) There was an issue with the bill. I paid it on arrival in full and then paid for food and drink when I ordered it from the bar. When I checked out, I was asked to pay again. I had to show my bank app to prove that I had already paid. Not happy.

Pros (+) Location was excellent. The upgraded bedroom was spacious and clean. The reception staff were pleasant.
Cons (-) They seemed short of staff. The bar was small and poorly stocked. The hotel doesn’t have a car park and there’s no discount for parking in the car park adjacent to the hotel notwithstanding paying circa £200 a night for room only.
