Loved the location, set in the beautiful tuscan countryside - breathtaking views. Food was lovely, staff were very helpful. A 15 min drive in a taxi to lucca - also a stunning place, I would recommend the walking tour to get a real feel of the history and culture.
The main thing would be that we got charged for bacon and eggs on toast, 12 euros - however, the breakfast buffet that we had already paid for actually included bacon , eggs and toast which we wasn't aware of. It would have been good for them to say rather than charge us. Pool could do with a little clean inside, although didn't stop us going for a dip.
Beautiful place in a fantastic setting. The restaurant was fantastic and the personnel was very nice. Super well located. The room was spacious and nice.
Travelling with our kid it would have been nice a more modern tv with Netflix

Limited amenities, same room type but major differences. Incredible staff though
Perfect staff. Everyone including restaurant staff are helping you all the time. There are some major differences between same type of room. Generally a good stay!!
The features of this former hunting lodge include a gracious glass-enclosed dining/breakfast room was delightful looking out over grounds in the morning, and an elegant place to dine at night. Service from reception to dining was superb, as was the food. The rooms with their rustic dramatic ceilings and comfy beds led to pleasant rest and beautiful views. A retreat from noisy streets and crowds.
Location and and beautiful old building
Although not bad, we had higher expectations of the restaurant.
Clean and peaceful. A peaceful place with birds chirping. You should use hotel restaurant which is the best. Thank you for all.
