Pros (+) Dinner menu, with its trendy descriptions did not necessarily meet those promised delights. In particular the boiled casserole chicken was exactly that and bore little resemblance to the description

Pros (+) Nice hotel and both the meals we had (dinner & breakfast) were very tasty and well presented so met our expectations. Room was very comfortable and the decoration of the whole hotel was very nice and to our own taste.
Cons (-) The price for the stay was acceptable and only a little more than we would usually expect to stay in a hotel we stay at for an overnight treat BUT this was because we chose a Sunday to stay and the pricing for Friday and Saturday is too much in our opinion.

Pros (+) Hotel and grounds are beautiful, hotel was very clean, breakfast menu had great options and the food was very nice, staff were extremely helpful.
Cons (-) We ended up locked out along with other guests, and a call had to be made to the hotel to let us in, this was just before 23.00 We had been out for dinner locally on the Bluebell Railway

Pros (+) Loved everything. Breakfast was very tasty, not the biggest, but delicious and good quality. Evening food was exceptional. Staff were very attentive, polite, well trained and professional. Our room, a junior suite, was beautiful, very comfy beds and lovely bathroom. Hotel had character, charm and history, with beautiful gardens and views across fields and golf course.
Cons (-) Can't think of anything that could be improved.
