- Alot of the resort facilities were uncomplimentary. - Dinner drinks were chargeable although we had a half-board meal.
10/10 experince but expensive in everything
Our experience at this resort fell below the expectations of a five-star property in several key areas. To begin with, we had to wait at the airport for transportation for 40 to 60 minutes with no communication or updates from the hotel. Options for dinner outside main buffet restaurant are limited & fill up quickly. Recommend you pre-book before your stay. Snorkeling is available on-site but limited fish. They offer boat tours as alternatives (diving & snorkeling)
Like other 5-star resorts in the Maldives, Hilton Maldives Amingiri is a fantastic place to stay. The sunset view from Aura was out of this world. The over-water villa we booked was spacious and impressive. Room service was terrific. Tutu was helpful throughout our short stay. Recommended if you want a luxury stay nearer to Velana International Airport.
We found it a little noisier as we had been to some other resort before reaching Hilton, which was quiet and more peaceful. Also, when dining at Habitat on the first day, we discovered that the service was a little slower, and sometimes, you keep looking to spot a waiter or a staff member to request help with something.
