Absolutely loved the location. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Loved the food. They have a cute dog named Lucky ❤️
The last 1km to the hotel was a narrow and rough road. However, they were super helpful and guided us over the phone. It would have been convenient to have a clothing rack or a cupboard in the room to keep our belongings organized, as we found ourselves placing items here and there. Additionally, having a kettle and a trash can in the room would have added to the comfort.
The location is great for discovering the surrounding Hanthana mountain, if weather permits obviously. The dinner and breakfast were both delicious, generous and varied, one of the best places we have eaten in Sri Lanka. The staff were very nice and kind although you may need google translate to communicate. The owner who was not on site speaks very good English and was very helpful.
The building is still a work in progress as it only opened a year ago. But the location and view make it lovely.
The location is fantastic. A very out of the way place, quiet except for birdsong and the sound of night insects and amazing views of the Hantane hills with its rolling mists. Hantane Heritage is simple, unpretentious and very comfortable.
There was nothing I didnt like. The hotel is still.a.work.in progress but we had a wonderfully comfortable stay and I am sure when completed the hosts woukd have added even more features that we didnt think to miss
After having left noisy Kandy and traffic behind, this place was a haven of peace. The lack of noise was what hit me first. Staff were helpful and welcoming. The views were stunning. Hanthana mountain is in front at the other side of a deep valley and the Knuckles Range to the right. Crickets were chirping when I went to sleep, and I woke up to a chorus of birds.
