It was my first ryokan experience, and it was everything I wished for and more! The stuff was extremely kind and wish to help in any time. The place was big, clean, quiet and surrounded by nature. The onsen were clean, with all the stuff you need. Was privet and relaxing.

- staff - room - Both private onsen in the room and public that you make private (1st come, 1st served) - meals - kimonos It was for our honeymoon and we really loved our time there
- you cannot go out to see the sunrise and discover the surroundings alone (and before all the crowds) if you get up at 4.00 because the main door is locked and you don’t have the key

This spot far exceeded all expectations. Staff were incredible, location was stunning and the private onsen was beyond worth it. The most relaxing and authentic Japanese experience we’ve had. Cannot wait to return for a longer visit. If you are considering staying at this location, I cannot recommend it enough.

Peaceful and clean. We enjoyed the traditional kaiseki dinner and breakfast each day. Our host was so friendly and fun to talk to. Everyone was so polite and helpful. The onsen was relaxing and nice to have our own

Wonderful staff. Private onsen was exceptional. Food was wonderful. This was the experience we were hoping for in a ryokan. The location was perfect just steps to the dock to hop on the boat cruise on the lake.
If you’re looking for a Ryokan which is traditional with a hint of modern amenities & close to Motohakone ko there Hananoyado fukuya is the place to be. Apart from the location, the ryokan was beautiful & the service exceptional ! Special mention to Gurung for making our stay comfortable. Btw this is not mentioned clearly but the property has 2 onsens which need no booking & are private.
Welcoming and gracious staff. Delicious kaiseki dinner and breakfast. Public onsen bath could be used but the room itself had a private onsen which was wonderful. Beautiful location overlooking lake.

The service was amazing, the room was clean and provided a good view of the lake, the location was super convenient, the food was very delicious, and the onsen was lovely.
