Very clean and had everything we needed

The care taken to get us checked in was amazing, as we were arriving late at night after a nearby wedding. The Inn was absolutely stunning, with huge rooms and very comfortable beds.
The location is hard to reach if you aren't driving or willing to pay for a very pricey local taxi. It was also a shame that the vegetarian English breakfast was just the normal breakfast with all meat removed, therefore it's smaller and less filling. It would have been fab to have some veggie sausages available.
Excellent location, friendly staff and superb breakfast. Room was clean and very comfortable.
Overall excellent. Would have preferred fresh milk for the overnight tray (rather than uht) - it was provided in a small thermos so would have been fine. But that’s a very small issue.
great place to stay in the South Downs - a little remote if you want a town,
we stayed in the shepherds hut - was great for one night - but be aware the bed is very hard
Everything! The staff went above and beyond where ever they could. The room was gorgeous and our dog got a bed and bowl which was a nice addition. The food at the restaurant was top tier and we enjoyed every minute. Would really recommend this stay.

So different with all the different areas to eat & drink. Lovely staff, and nice to see local people fall in to have drink. Lovely atmosphere, nice wines and great food (and the onion rings which chef made specially)

The room would need air conditioning in the summer . No fridge in the room.
Staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms very clean and facilities were good. Great cooked breakfast.
Walk from room outside to main building. Not a problem in dry weather but if it was pooring down you would get wet.
