The staff were absolutely wonderful. The view from our room was beautiful. We adored the in-room onsen. The vibe was peaceful and relaxing. The food was delicious!
The staff were wonderful. The ONLY thing that was not exceptional was that the wine pours at dinner were a little stingy. Literally, that's all I could possibly critique.
Very big rooms, great view, amazing onsen experience and great service.
Not easy to locate if you follow Google maps and decide to walk up especially in rain with luggage. Make sure to either call them for a shuttle or following the drive route on Google maps.
The location was out of town so we were limited to eating in this restaurant which only offered one very expensive set dinner. Delicious but rather over the top. The Breakfast was ridiculous - way too much food and too expensive.
Beautiful view and setting, meticulous meals and appointments. You can even see the tip of Mt. Fuji from the dining room.
Communication was difficult. The hotel is way, way, way up high, and the hotel needs to make an effort to communicate that it actually has a shuttle. Many travelers wound up walking up with their luggage, and Google Maps takes you on a convoluted route to get to the hotel, so it begins the stay in an awkward sweat, not just for me! The hotel is too far from the train station. No shuttle is provided. Had to wait for over an hour for Taxi at the Odawara Train station for a taxi.
Provide transportation from Odawara Train station
The staff was very helpful and responsive. Spa service was excellent. Also, the pick up from the train station was a good service.
Nothing close to the facilities and it was difficult to get a taxi to and from the hotel. Walking was not good option given the narrow and rocky hike back which could have been 40 mins. This also meant we had to have our meals at the hotel which were good but pricey.
Best onsen experience and incredible breakfast. My husband had a massage and it was one of the best he has had in his life (so that says a lot).
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Happy dinning experience.
The food, onsen, and overall guest services were amazing. Highly recommend including the meals during your stay.
While it wasn’t a major turnoff, the beds were a bit hard.
