Pros (+) The staff were amazing and so friendly. We stayed at another 5 star hotel in the area following this trip and they weren't as attentive. This made such a difference to the whole experience. Staff were very accommodating of my Aunt and Grandad visiting us in the lobby bar and made them feel very welcomed.

Cons (-) The hotel tries to be two things at once, a place catering for corporate events and a fancy upmarket hotel. Conference attendees wearing name tags do not mix well with guests of a romantic hotel.

Pros (+) Hotel and rooms were nice
Cons (-) Air conditioner was not working and I was moved to a smaller room at 1am after waiting closer to 1h. Manager compensated me the next day, and was very kind but night shift person insisted he could not offer me anything although room was downgraded.

Pros (+) Gorgeous property with very easy walking to Cascais center. Good spa. Very good breakfast and excellent on site Italian restaurant, Belvedere. Staff were terrific and very helpful.
Cons (-) The spa could use overall improvements. Staff was very good but the sauna/steam rooms were in disrepair and they charge extra for access to the heated pool area.

Pros (+) The room was very nice and the property is inviting and warm. And being so close to the ocean and downtown was very nice.
Cons (-) The included breakfast buffet was extensive and mostly was good, however, the warm items such as eggs and bacon etc was not very appetizing. When we asked for coffee it was borderline undrinkable - very odd for a European hotel. The other issue in our room was we could hear the people talking in the next room - clearly - very odd for a Luxury hotel. Also the showered was a 5 dollar plastic number ...
