Pros (+) The hotel is a bit old and requires renovation, but has great charm. Having said that, I have no complaints about the hotel - all the facilities worked well and our room was very spacious. Cleanliness was great. Location is excellent
Cons (-) Staff in the restaurant (Shades of Red) should be more attentive. Tables were left unattended, and one morning at breakfast there was nowhere to sit because many tables had not been cleared. Perhaps more a case of lack of staff?

Cons (-) The parking is expensive, 30€ per day while on the street is 1€ per hour until 20pm and free at weekends. If I knew that I could not open 1 window in the room, I would not have booked it. You cannot give fresh air. Also, we were 2 adults and 2 kids and we had only 2 blankets. They give 4 complimentary small waters in the room. We used the wake up service.

Pros (+) I am a regular weekends visitor to the Grand and it is one of the best hotels in Bulgaria. However after 4 visits this year, the hotel should have systems that alert staff and give a regular guest special treatment. Further to be charged a relatively high parking fee when there is limited street parking was not good and felt like a rip off.
Cons (-) No recognition of a frequent guest and over charging for parking. I will look at other options next time.
