Good location close to city centre. Shop and restaurant on the opposite side of the road. Close parking spot.
The room was located on the second floor up a steep stairs. Challenging to go up with heavy luggage. Damaged room equipment and facilities. Non-functioning heating, we heated with air conditioning, but it is intrusive. But the biggest problem was cleanliness. The room was clean.
Avoid at all cost. To keep it short, I was "kicked out" of the unit after 1 night (booked for 4nights). Got a message via whats app that he was canceling my stay and to come back immediately to get my stuff. After returning from across the street at the laundromat, as I enter, he shouts at me that I caused the dirt on the wall. He then shouts at me that bicycle is not allowed inside the room. Super location, and very comfortable room. Host was very friendly and accomodating, checking in regularly to see if all was ok or if anything was needed. we felt really welcomed.
Location is great, safe area, 10 minutes walking distance from the train station and 10 minutes from the city center.

Steep stairways into the second floor - difficult with heavy luggage
On the positive side, the room is quite large and very sunny. A large screen TV is mounted on the wall opposite the bed, which itself is large and very comfortable, with good quality sheets and many pillows. There is a nice solid table to eat at with 2 comfortable chairs. There is a Nespresso-type coffee maker in the bathroom, as well as an electric kettle and microwave, all balanced on the a litt...
Less positive is that one definitely hears the footsteps & music played by the guests in the room upstairs - I would recommend choosing the top floor room. The 4 kitchen items share 2 outlets, located behind the fridge in the bathroom, which required some juggling, and the cord on the kettle was too short to plug it in there (it was suggested that I plug it in next to the bed, but it scared me to ...Read more
This room was on a small street right across from a laundromat, and a nice little market which sold a variety of goods including fresh produce. Very handy! The host had great communication with us and passed along tips to help us make the most of our stay in Leuven.
The room is on the small side, but it has AC and a nice large bathroom with modern fixtures.
