Pros (+) Excellent hotel for a relaxing stay. Staff are lovely and great breakfast. Beautiful grounds and superb walks.
Cons (-) No restaurant on a Monday and Tuesday and no pub in local area therefore we had to get a taxi to Knaresborough.

Pros (+) Very well appointed. Everything in good condition. Pleasant staff, who contacted us beforehand. Plenty of lounges. Nice breakfast. History of Hall well presented.
Cons (-) It took a little while to work out the air conditioning, so we went to bed without it, and the duvet was too thick. One breakfast slightly overdone.

Pros (+) Burst pipes in the area meant a problem with the water on our first night, but the staff went out of their way to rectify it . Overall, another excellent stay.
