Pros (+) The Hotel sits in a beautiful location, really friendly staff who were very accommodating. Our room was lovely and comfortable. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

Pros (+) Very clean. Nice staff in reception and in the bar. Good hospitality tray
Cons (-) Bedroom furnishings could do with updating also a bit weird bathroom and cupboard doors didn’t fit properly and hard to close. We also didn’t think the food was as good as last time

Cons (-) I left a phone charger behind in my room. Phoned hotel about it, they said they would get back to me. I have heard nothing. Food ok but not great. Some of the carpets on stairs. And corridors. Either very worn or very dirty.

Cons (-) The standard of food at dinner was not great given the price. Ambience of restaurant questionable in that the tables are so scarce and far apart plus the lighting needs looked at. We would have preferred to sit in the bar which was lovely but when we arrived it was as hot as a sauna! Breakfast buffet would benefit from fresh options rather than tinned fruit etc.

Pros (+) Excellent breakfast. Excellent location if you want to be in the middle of nowhere. Half hour drive to Kirriemuir the nearest town. Excellent evening meals.
Cons (-) Communication can be improved. Glen Clova is in a poor signal area for Wi-Fi. I could only communicate with my family via WhatsApp and email. My room (Dreish) did not have a landline telephone. My mobile has Wi-Fi assist but not Wi-Fi Calling which the staff use. Also on 7/9/2024 I was attending the Braemar Games which is a 2 hour drive from the hotel. I had booked myself in for dinner but the sta...

Pros (+) Glorious position, ideal for hiking along and around the glen. Fabulous staff who made us feel like part of the family. Good food and very comfortable room
