Good location, close to tourist spots yet tucked away from the busy streets

Comfortable and big room with all the staff. Large comfortable bed and nice bath.
The rooms were incredible—spacious with large, comfortable beds. It was the best sleep we had during our entire two-week trip through Japan, including Tokyo, Hakone, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka. We loved the hotel location. Just steps outside you could reach several temples, shrines, and restaurants. Absolutely amazing! The room was great, comfortable beds, and the bathroom was out of this world with a great shower, sauna, and a Japanese style tub. The breakfast was great and worth it the extra charge.
Gion Elite Terrace exceeded my expectations. The location was extremely convenient in the heart of Gion on a quiet street away from the crowds, walking distance to restaurants and sights, and a 10-15 min walk to the Gion-Shijō Train Station. This hotel was amazing. I've lived in Japan and traveled for a long while but this hotel was so large and comfortable, something rare with hotels in Japan. The price was perfect and had the same standards as a five star hotel.
Having distinct menus for the breakfast and clean up time would be preferable.

Staff was warm, welcoming and friendly. The 24 hour lobby refreshment bar and complimentary use of laundry machines were nice touches and appreciated.
