Cons (-) The bed was terrible in our room. Did not sleep for two nights. Would have checked out if not for a busy schedule and wonderful staff. Room had paper thin walls but truly a terrible bed, platform extra soft six inches off the floor. Entire property rating downgraded because of bed and thin walls to our room

Pros (+) Very beautiful house. The additional Zen rooms were lovely. The finish and attention to detail was amazing. Extra complementary items were very appreciated.
Cons (-) Some small style over substance elements. Hot water tap (no kettle) meant that the water wasn’t really boiling for tea/coffee. The Japanese style cups in the room were beautiful but very small.

Pros (+) Utterly peaceful, elegant, unpretentious. The sense of relaxation comes over you the minute you enter. It made us want to visit Japan. The staff was lovely and welcoming. The amenities were thoughtful and the breakfast was different and delicious each day. We will go back.
