Nice quiet location with easy access to Carlisle by car. Wonderful breakfast; helpful staff. My friend especially liked the cats!
Be aware that there are lots of stairs, especially if your room is on one of the upper floors.
Was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and food was delicious.
The host was lovely. I enjoyed talking with her and the breakfast was terrific. The property is also beautiful though we did not get a chance to walk around it. I appreciated the mini-split AC/Heater which let us control the temperature. The bed was comfy and the sheets were soft. If you like the charm of an older home and an antique feel, you will really like this place.
The bed required a two-step stool which made me uncomfortable knowing that I would likely need to get up in the middle of the night. The bathroom was not very nice. I loved the location and the wonderful breakfasts.Bathroom was very clean.
The room we stayed in needs a little attention and care. Both the side chairs were upholstery, but the upholstery was very stained. I wouldn't even sit on them. Also, the bath tub mat cracked and torn. It seems a very inexpensive replaceable item. I think a little tlc and the room would be top notch.
The house is beautiful and maintained with care by the owners! It’s close to Carlisle and Dickinson College but immersed in a lovely green area. Our host was lovely and the breakfasts were creative and generous!
The beds were not very comfortable. The bathroom was very tiny. It was a little pricey given that it’s in Carlisle.
Outstanding breakfast, unique and flavorful.
Very cozy and located on a beautiful setting. Great breakfast. Owners Kim and Brent went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.
The old-fashioned decor, plush furniture and bedding, shelves of books about travel, animals, the Civil War, etc, a fire going in the fireplace so the room was warm, all were appealing. The peaceful surroundings and views were nice. Breakfast included extras like fruit and lemon cake.
I would have liked brighter lighting for reading the books.
Very charming place. Comfortable. Welcoming. Kim is helpful and offered generous breakfast. Only 10 minutes to town.
