My wife had the clock stolen from the room. Unfortunately, we only realized it on the plane. A report should be made on site. Regarding the above, there were only 2 coffee capsules available to use. We ordered more, but nothing arrived. Language was an issue; not everyone spoke English, especially the cleaning and restaurant staff. Our friend's shirt went missing... Beautiful hotel. Staff were great.
Aside from the kitchy decor, which is part of the brand, it seems, the hotel.is close to a swamp, so it's impossible to avoid the mosquitoes in the morning and evening if you're trying to eat or drink outside. Also, they don't provide certain amenities you'd expect from a 5-star hotel, like in room coffee and tea. Parking was 80 USD per night. They do their best to upsell this way.
Good pool and location is great for accessing the locality but also the rest of central BA. The main bar in the evening is buzzy and has good live acts.
The room offered (a duplex suite - part of an "upgrade" offered by Booking.com to Genius members) wasn't worth taking. I should have booked the room i originally wanted (park view). All the duplex suite consists of is a dark room on first floor with TV and then steps up to the bathroom/bedroom. Air conditioning running water (leaking). Room doesn’t have a very good blackout and looks smaller than the announcement (it says it would be 35m2 but I don’t believe it is).
